Rescue: 19th December 2007, Ref: FV Nicola Faith 016-07.
Fishing Boat Towed Home.

Staithes & Runswick RNLI lifeboat was launched at 10:30am on Wednesday morning after the skipper of a Whitby fishing boat reported that his boat had broken down off the coast at Boulby.

The volunteer lifeboat crew quickly found the 30-foot fishing boat ‘Nicola Faith’ about one and a half miles north west of Staithes. The lifeboat took the vessel under tow and they arrived safely in Whitby harbour at 12:00pm.

The skipper reported his problem to the coastguard very quickly and we carried out a straight forward tow job to Whitby in fine weather

— Colin Harrison, lifeboat helmsman.
