Rescue: 2nd October 2007, FV Deep Harmony 013-07
Fishing Boat Towed Home.

Staithes & Runswick RNLI lifeboat was launched at 12:50pm on Tuesday afternoon after the skipper of a Whitby fishing boat reported that the boat had broken down about one mile east of Port Mulgrave.

The volunteer lifeboat crew quickly found the 26-foot fishing boat ‘Deep Harmony’ and began towing it to Whitby. They arrived safely in to the harbour at 2:15pm.

The skipper reported his problem to the coastguard very quickly and we carried out a straight forward tow job to Whitby.
