Lifeboat Tows Fishing Vessel Home
Staithes RNLI lifeboat launched at 7:45am on Saturday morning after the fishing vessel ‘Margaret Elizabeth’ got its propeller fouled with rope.
The skipper of the 18 foot Staithes boat called the coastguard to report the problem and the volunteer lifeboat crew were paged. The vessel, with one person onboard, was soon found about just outside the harbour and towed back in.
The lifeboat was re-fuelled and ready for service again at 08:30am.
