Fundraising Day at Grinkle Park
Staithes & Runswick RNLI Lifeboat will be holding a fundraising day in the grounds of Grinkle Park on Monday 26th May 2008.
There will be Souvenir Stall, Tombola, Games, Refresments and more.
We will publish the opening times on this web site,
once they have been confimed.

30 Year Celebration & Open Day
This year's open day at the lifeboat station will be Saturday 14th June 2008 between 10am and 4pm.
This also coincides with the 30th Anniversary of the Staithes lifeboat station re-opening and there will be a rededication service at 2pm, blessing the boat, crew and facilities.
Since the late 1800's there has been a lifeboat stationed at Staithes and/or Runswick. In 1978 the lifeboat at Runswick was withdrawn and the Staithes station re-opened with an Atlantic class inshore lifeboat. with it becoming operational on 17th June 1978.
The open day is a chance to meet and talk to the crew, have a look at the boat and launching tractor and see our facilities.

Staithes & Runswick Lifeboat Weekend 2008
The event is a fun packed weekend with lots to do for all the family.
The first event is the famous ‘Nightgown Parade’ through
the cobbled streets on Friday night.
On Saturday there are many stalls on the sea front and rescue displays
by the lifeboats and coastguards.
The day ends with a BBQ and spectacular firework display.
